KENT AUDIO VISUAL TURNS COMBINES INTO ROCK STARS August 10, 2010
“HEAVY METAL” ROARS INTO WICHITA In its largest product launch in over 20 years, AGCO Corporation introduced the newest Gleaner combine line in a show fit for a star, made possible by Kent Audio Visual. AGCO, one of the big three global farm machinery makers, is headquartered in Atlanta. The Gleaner brand is one of the oldest and most respected names in the industry, and AGCO wanted to host an event that provided guests with a personal touch, while building excitement and anticipation for the new line.
	TURNING ONE VENUE INTO THREE The event called for moments that were as focused as a movie theatre, intimate as a restaurant, and explosive as a rock concert. Hartman Arena, the 5000 seat venue chosen for the event, had to be divided into three main areas that didn’t leave the arena feeling empty to the 300 guests. Kent Audio Visual used multiple screens and projectors, two sound systems, and concert lighting to transform Hartman into a movie theatre, a banquet hall, as well as a rockin’ concert hall. One particular challenge was hiding three huge combines from the eager guests. Two machines, with the combined width of over 75 feet, had to fit into a 60-foot square in such a way that their features could be easily seen by all once they were revealed. The third had to be driven the length of the arena floor, through the set, and hit its mark on stage, on cue!
IT’S ALL ABOUT THE SHOW At the beginning of the evening, invited guests were directed to the arena floor, where they experienced an exciting introductory video on large screens angled from the ceiling and stage for an immersive movie theatre-like experience supported by a massive sound system. From there, attendees were directed to the dining area, where Kent Audio Visual created a more intimate setting with soft lighting and a separate sound system.
	After dinner, the audience made its way to the arena seating, where they witnessed the dramatic entry of AGCO’s Kevin Bein, spotlighted driving towards them in the stunning new Gleaner Super 7. Kevin then introduced the exciting new features of the Gleaner line before finally revealing the heavy metal stars of the show in true rock and roll style.
